How much will my removal cost?
A few things are factored into the final cost of your removal. The first and most obvious is the distance being travelled. Yes, we'll get you moved as soon as we can. There is no extra cost on Saturdays, although sometimes, fees may be higher to cover the costs of staff working on bank holidays and so on
What size van will I get?
The van size is based on the number of items you need to move. We have a range of vans from small to large so that we can accommodate your needs. Be as clear as possible about what needs moving so we can allocate the right sized vehicle and number of staff to carry out the job.
Can I do my own packing?
You can pack your own things, but we recommend hiring professionals. They have the knowledge and tools they need to finish the project quickly and well. For many people, it is worth spending a little more on packing services to have the peace of mind of knowing that your valued possessions are being handled by experts.
Do you dismantle and reassemble my furniture?
Yes, we can do that for you. Just let us know what you need and we'll take care of it. This service is will be included in your quote if you request it. If you wish to do this yourself, though, please ensure all relevant items are disassembled and ready to be moved before our staff arrive on moving day.
How do I pay for my removal?
We accept all major credit cards, checks, and cash. In addition to direct debit payments, we also offer other ways for you to pay. Just tell the person who is setting up your appointment how you want to make the payment. We ask for 25% at the time of booking, with the remainder payable no later than 10 days before your moving date.
How do I move house with a dog/cat?
We recommend that you keep your pet in a small, quiet room that’s clearly marked "Do Not Open". The moving company will leave this room till last, giving you the opportunity to move your pet to an empty room before they access it.
Are my goods insured?
Yes, your belongings are covered while they are in transit up to £50,000 per vehicle. You can take out insurance for your belongings while they are in storage through insurastore.com. You’ll find a link to our insurance partner on the North Yorkshire submenu.
What time will the van arrive?
We can store your goods for as long as you need. Just let us know what you need and we'll be happy to accommodate you.
